The purchase of restricted goods could lose you time and money.

The following items are restricted by different domestic and international institutions. Before making a purchase, refer to the adjacent chart and avoid unnecessary expenses.

Restricted by local customs policies:

The following items tend to have local restrictions or require special import permits. Other items may have restrictions related to their hazardous nature. A hazardous material is anything FLAMABLE, EXPLOSIVE or CORROSIVE.

Products considered hazardous:

  • Perishable goods
  • Tabaco and arms
  • Food and beverages
  • Live animals
  • Spray cans or products that damage the ozone layer
  • Seeds-Plants-Wood
  • Explosives and munitions
  • Toxic substances
  • Chemical substances
  • Animal skins and animal products
  • Medicine, drugs, narcotics
  • Any item with alcohol as a main ingredient
  • Fireworks or gunpowder
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Gas, tear gas, or pepper spray
  • Lighters and/or matches
  • Batteries containing chemical products
  • Poison
  • Pressure containers
  • Tools that operate with gas

Please do not send these items to your address in Miami, it may not be transported and you will assume to costs of this purchase being discarded or the cost of it being returned to the on-line retailer.

While items used daily at home or at work for personal care may not seem hazardous, changes in cabin temperature and pressure can cause a leakage of their contents, generating toxic gases and/or starting a fire.

By Law...

You must declare dangerous materials to an airline, shipping company or US Postal Service. A violation of the United States Federal Regulations of Hazardous Materials (CFR 49, parts 171-180) will result in a civil penalty up to $25,000 for each violation, and when appropriate, violations are subject to a penalty of up to $500,000 and/or imprisonment up to a period of five years.
